A Visit to the Farm

Today for playgroup we headed up to Thanksgiving Point to visit their Farm. It was fun, a little too crowded being Spring Break and all but fun nonetheless. We walked around and saw cows, horses, pigs, llamas, sheep, goats, chickens, a donkey, and even an alpaca. We took Ashlin with us and that was nice because she is 8 and keeps a good eye in Ian and helps him out. We fed the goats some food, it was so gross their slobber and all. I even got Ian to do it, he just laughed a little and said that their tongues tickled his hand.

After we walked around and saw all the animals we sat and ate our lunch.  Ian freaked out because his shoes had mud on them. He is so weird about things like that, mud on shoes, his clothes wet even just the very slightest, food on his hands....maybe he will grow out of it. After lunch we all went on a Wagon Ride.  Maggie thoroughly enjoyed this because she got to get out the stroller. When got off the the wagon Ian announced that he wanted to go play in the playhouse (which is just the Barn). In the barn they have an area for the kids to milk a fake cow and to learn how milk gets from the cows into the jugs. They also have some farm animals and puzzles to play with. After I let him play for a little while it was time to go because Maggie and I were getting tired.
