Well we made it to California. It only took us about 10 hours and 3 pit stops. We stopped in Scipio to show our new van to Jared's mom and sister. Then we mad it to St. George, by then Maggie and Ian had had it. We stopped at Mc Donalds to let the kids strecth their legs and eat. Our next pit stop was at the Nevada/California state line. They have a nice gas station outside Buffalo Bills. I sat in the back seat of the van and fed Maggie while Jared took Mr. Smarty Pants on a tour of the gas station. They came back with drinks and goodies and Ian even got lucky and daddy bought him a new toy tow truck (daddy's such a softy). We were off again and made it safely to Grandpa and Grandma's house. Uncle Josh made it home safely from his mission in Pocatello Idaho.
Having our van is so nice. It made the drive a lot easier. Ian keep busy watching the same 2 Thomas movies over and over. It is really nice, he just listens to the movie on head phones which frees up the cars speakers for mommy and daddy to listen to what they want to. Luckily Maggie slept most of the way, she would just start to cry when she got really hungry. We have more room in the van, you can actually stretch out and you don't feel like you are a sardine in a sardine can. Now we just hope our ride back will be just smooth as the ride down!

Did I ever tell you that I love California, the southern part in particular? At one point my biggest aspiration in life was to become a professional beach bum. *sigh*
Well, travel home safely. Good luck with Maggie--I know it's tough going that far with a little babe!
I'm so happy you got the van in time for your trip. It sounded much easier this time vs. other trips. When will you guys be back?
