{summer fun 8 & 9}

{summer fun 8: watching fireworks}

we got the opportunity to do this twice in one week.

the first time was on the 4th with our friends the fowler's.

we went over there for a yummy bbq, games, dessert, & fireworks.

the second fireworks show was courtesy of our wonderful neighbors the metcalf's.

the got just a few and invited us to come watch.

it was fun. the kids loved it.

right before our grand finale we ate some super yummy homemade raspberry ice cream.

i need the recipe....oh and an ice cream maker.

[summer fun 9: make and take some treats to friends}

which we did. we shared with our neighbors

we (really i) made some chocolate zucchini brownies.

it's my mom's recipe and they are soooooo good.

they actually aren't really brownies but more of a texas sheet cake.

the zucchini makes them super moist and kids don't even know that they are eating some veggies.
