one of the goals I have for this year is to have more dates with the hubby
our first date of the new year consisted of putting all the kids to bed early and then playing UpWords and haivng root beer floats. jared won of course (he pretty much always wins no matter game we play....guess i'm just a sucky game player). we had fun and it was nice to just have time to ourselves without any little ones around.
date 2 just happened the other night
with the help of my parents who were so nice to give us season tickets to the Hale Center Theater for christmas and nuskin (jared's play of employment) who gave him a gift card to chili's we were able to have a wonderful evening.
we started out the evening with heading to chili's for a nice dinner. i don't recommend the avocado burger, it was dry and unflavorful. but i do however recommend their chips and salsa....yum!!!! after dinner we headed over to barnes and noble to wander around and waste time until the theater opened. after a good 30 minutes of wandering and purchasing a few presents for an upcoming birthday in our family we headed to the theater and saw this:
it was wonderful!!! we LOVED it!! it was funny and entertaining. there was a gentleman sitting two rows behind us who thought the same thing. we knew this because he had the loudest most boisterous laugh EVER!!! everyone around looked at him several times through out the play to make sure he was for real. it was kinda funny at first but then around mid-play it got rather annoying. the whole play only had 5 people acting the whole thing. sometimes some
of the actors would play 2 or 3 parts at one time....very entertaining. highly recommend seeing it.
well there you have it....dates 1 and 2. i hope to keep up this date documenting.
